About SATriHub

South African triathlon, all in one place.

Every result, every ranking, every slot — for the athletes who race for the love of it.

Why we built this

South African triathlon results live everywhere and nowhere. A PDF here. A timing provider's portal there. A results page that disappears three months after the race. If you wanted to know how your bike split stacked up against the rest of your age group nationally, or how close you actually were to a Worlds slot, you were building your own spreadsheet at 10pm on a Tuesday.

We got tired of doing that. So we built the thing we wanted to use.

SATriHub pulls South African triathlon into one place — results, rankings, race history and the numbers behind them — so you can stop guessing where you stand and start racing with actual information.

What we do

01

Race database

Every South African IRONMAN, 70.3 and major domestic race we can get our hands on, structured and searchable. Historic results included, not just this season.

02

National rankings

See where you sit against your age group across the country — not just the twelve people who happened to enter the same race as you.

03

Percentile tools

Enter your splits, see exactly where you land. Swim, bike, run and overall, benchmarked against real South African fields rather than global averages that mean nothing on a Highveld winter morning.

04

Slot tracking

Kona and 70.3 Worlds qualification, tracked by race and age group. Roll-down happens. Knowing the history helps you plan the season around it.

05

Media and analysis

The stories, the numbers, and the athletes behind them — with a particular soft spot for the ones who don't make the podium photos.

Who this is for

You.

Not the pros. Not the 20 people at the sharp end of the national scene. SATriHub is built for age-groupers — the ones squeezing a 5am ride in before work, entertaining opinions about wheel depth at braais, and chasing a number that only really matters to them.

Whether you're targeting a first 70.3, hunting a Kona slot, or just want to know if that run split was as good as it felt, this is for you.

Getting the data right

Rankings are only worth anything if the numbers behind them are clean.

We source results directly from official race timing wherever possible, normalise them into a consistent structure, and check the outliers by hand. Where data is incomplete or a race format makes comparison unfair, we say so rather than quietly fudging it.

If you spot something wrong with your result, tell us. We'd rather fix it than defend it.

Where we're going

SATriHub is a work in progress, and we're not pretending otherwise. The race archive gets deeper every month. New tools ship when they're ready rather than when they'd make a good announcement.

The long-term goal is simple: build the definitive record of South African triathlon, and make it free and useful to the people who actually race it.
